We received a return owl from France today. Apparently, she's unable to offer us an appointment until April, which is completely ridiculous of course. I responded and told her that I would be willing to pay double her already exorbitant fee for an earlier appointment. I'm still waiting on a reply.

Her father is very talkative. It's almost too easy. She's a third year Auror trainee, and I'm fairly certain it was she who I fought at the ball, the one who cursed my hand. The family is very vocally against our cause, in fact, we used her mother as an example in 77. Her father also mentioned that she was in support of the Unforgivables being used.

I'm sure I could very easily get a picture and her home address. Should one of us try and get her routine down? I'm sure I could spare a few evenings a week to follow her.

Our Christmas tree is up and decorated and the house smells deliciously of cinnamon and cookies. Hopefully not cinnamon cookies though, because I am not a fan of those. It's times like these that make me want to wax nostalgic about my childhood Christmases and how Sloane and I came to own each of the ornaments we hang on our tree, but I'm certain the vast majority of you wouldn't want to read about that.

Likewise, the subject of the Auror's new... abilities has been talked to death, but I can't help interjecting my opinion. The curses are called Unforgivables for a reason. I'm also curious about the legal repercussions of teaching these curses to Auror trainees. I've heard they're practising on each other? I can't imagine that will go over very well.
